Role: Electrical CAD Engineer

We are recruiting for a full time Electrical CAD Engineer. The salary will depend on experience and qualifications. Core hours for the role will be 40hrs/week Monday to Friday with additional hours if required.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have experience of electrical design of low voltage assemblies, incorporating a good understanding of electrical regulations, standards and best practice.

Main duties will include:

• Understanding and interpreting Design Engineers’ information
• Use of AutoCAD Electrical to compile drawings
• Producing drawing packs for issue to internal teams and Customers
• Generating technical queries where required
• Monitoring workflow in accordance with the agreed production schedule
• Working with colleagues in the design and manufacturing teams to update drawings
• Overseeing delivery and/or installation if necessary
• Working in accordance with company rules and procedures and quality management system

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:

• Recent electrical drawing experience, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical
• Any electrical qualification or design experience would be an advantage
• Highly self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
• Ability to work well with others
• Good organisational skills, excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Knowledge or experience of any of the following would be an advantage:
  • 3-phase motor starters (DOL, Inverter etc.)
  • PLC Systems
  • ATEX design
• Experience of working to Quality systems ISO 9001
